To be shown on the 30th November 2008 at 8:00 is an edition of 'Top Of The Pops 2' which features archive performances from Top of the Pops including Mud, Chaka Khan, XTC, Boy George, and Alison Moyet.

On 14th December 2008 at 7:00 'Top Of The Pops 2' will feature Elvis Costello and the Attractions, Yazoo (Vince Clarke & Alison Moyet) and Vinnie Jones.

Both programmes are to be shown on the UK digital channel 'Dave'.

The Erasure Shop (Lexer Music) has recently launched its own MySpace and Facebook pages.

To be released on the 23rd February 2009 is "Total Pop! The First 40 Hits" - a collection of Erasure's first 40 hits which features all the hit singles from Erasure's five no. 1 albums, plus a brand new remix of 'Always' by Jeremy Wheatley.

As well as a double CD package and digital download, Total Pop! will also be released as a special four-disc deluxe box set which includes Pop! (remastered since its original release), Pop2!, a live CD and a DVD featuring classic BBC performances from 1986è2005, which includes television performances ranging from 'Sometimes' on 'Top of the Pops', 'Ship Of Fools' on 'Wogan' to an appearance on 'Later With Jools'.

And if that wasn't enough, released on the 9th February 2009 is "Pop! Remixed", which features the brand new Jeremy Wheatley remix of 'Always' plus remixes from Vince Clarke, Mark Picchiotti, Manhattan Clique, Komputer and Sweden's Sound Factory.

Act Art is an international platform for artists working in all disciplines including performance, live art, film, video, installation, site specific, painting, drawing, and photography. Act Art provides a testing ground for new experimental, radical, confrontational and non-mainstream work made by artists from different cultural backgrounds and genders and united by an interest in the body in the broadest sense. Act Art was launched in 2003 in an attempt to create an art/ club event that celebrates difference and aims to programme work in alternative spaces away from the institutional art world / gallery system.

The 6th annual Act Art event theme Dying For It! address's what's wrong with the world today. For example negative moral or ethical judgments, cruel, unjust and selfish human behaviour, war and diseases like Cancer and Aids. Poverty, famine and global warming caused by human actions, CCTV, censorship, celebrity culture, and the whole media circus that not only provides zero privacy to today's people in the main stream public eye such as Amy Winehouse and Britney Spears, but also play a part in early loss of lives notably Princess Diana, Anna Nicole Smith and so on.

MP3 Compatible

Seven of the largest music retailers in the UK are backing a new "MP3 compatible" logo. 7digital, Digitalstores, HMV, Play.com, Tesco, TuneTribe and Woolworths will all use the new logo on their sites to indicate that the MP3 music downloads will play on all digital music players and are free of restrictive Digital Rights Management that other formats and download store use.

Datz Music Lounge

Datz has launched a new unlimited music download offer, allowing UK consumers to buy and keep all the music they want from labels such as EMI, Warner, Beggars Group and The Orchard for a one-off fee of £99.99 for one year, with all tracks sold as DRM-free MP3s.

The Datz Music Lounge service will offer around 2 million tracks at launch. The service is aimed firmly at the Christmas market, with users buying a box that contains the Music Lounge CD and USB key from Sainsbury's or via the Datz website.

Nokia Comes With Music

The new Nokia Comes With Music service allows purchasers of new Nokia phones one year of unlimited access to the entire Nokia Music Store catalogue. All the music that has been downloaded can be kept and continued to be played at the end of the year.

slotMusic

A new physical music format dubbed slotMusic is set to launch in the UK before the end of the year. The format consists of a microSD card which can be loaded with 320kbps MP3s, album artwork, videos and additional content. The slotMusic card can be slotted into microSD-enabled mobile phones / MP3 players or computers via a bundled USB adaptor.
