24 Feb : New Single: Make Me Smile Track Listing

Currently scheduled for release on the 21st April, 'Make Me Smile (Come Up And See Me)' is the second single to be taken from Erasure's 'Other Peoples Songs' album. A cover of the Steve Harley and Cockney Rebel classic, the track has been reworked in Erasure's distinctively upbeat and infectious style.

The CD formats include two new acoustic tracks, 'Oh L'amour' and 'Can't Help Falling In Love', recorded earlier this year in New York.

Remixes are provided by 'Other People's Songs' producer Gareth Jones ('Walking In The Rain' and 'When Will I See You Again'), Dan Frampton (who has previously mixed The Honeyz, Atomic Kitten, Victoria Beckham and Emma Bunton) and Manhattan Clique (the support on the current Erasure tour who provided an acclaimed mix of 'Solsbury Hill').

The DVD format includes the original, Vince Clarke-directed video for 'Solsbury Hill', which has never been screened in the UK.

21 Feb : London Shows Re-Scheduled

LogoWe deeply regret having to make this announcement, but unfortunately Andy Bell is still not well enough to do tonight's Erasure show at the London Astoria. The scheduled appearance at G-A-Y and tomorrow's concert have also been cancelled.

The London dates have been rescheduled for the 5th May and 6th May; tickets for the 21st are valid on the 5th, and those for the 22nd on the 6th.

We realise that this news will come as a great disappointment to many people, including those who have travelled and gone to a great deal of personal expense to attend these shows. I can only say by way of apology that this decision was made with the greatest reluctance, and that it would not have been made if there had been the slightest possibility that the shows could go ahead without the performances being severely compromised and without Andy's recovery being adversely affected.

19 Feb : Christmas Concert On DVD

A full-length live Erasure DVD, recorded at last year's Christmas Concert, is being prepared for release in May.

The DVD will be available exclusively from the Mute Bank and at shows on Erasure's UK tour during that month. More details are to be confirmed.

More details to be confirmed.

18 Feb : Derby Show Re-scheduled

LogoAs those who attended last night's Erasure concert in York will be aware, Andy has recently developed bronchitis, and following medical advice, the decision has been made reluctantly to postpone tonight's show at the Derby Assembly Rooms.

The London Astoria shows are currently still planned to go ahead, and the Derby concert has now been re-scheduled for 12th May. Tickets for the show remain valid; if you require a refund, you need to contact the ticket vendor.
